Hello #SahabatData... BPS West Sumba Regency has carried out an update of the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) for the February 2025 period in both West Sumba Regency and Central Sumba Regency which took place from January 24 to February 7, 2025.
What does Updating mean?
So, Updating is the process of updating field data to compile a household sample framework that will be used in sampling. This process is important in the survey because the results are used as a sample coverage control, the basis for selecting household samples and components in calculating sampling weights.
Then, what is the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas)?
Well, the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) is a survey specifically designed to collect employment data on an ongoing basis. Employment data and indicators from Sakernas are very important for the continuity of development and are widely used for planning, monitoring, and evaluating government development programs, especially in the employment sector in various sectors. From Sakernas, estimates of data and basic indicators of employment are obtained, such as the number of working population, the number of unemployed, TPT, TPAK, and others at the national, provincial, and district/city levels.
