Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is one of the economic data tools that can be used to evaluate the economic development performance of a region (province or district / city). This data set can also be used for other purposes and purposes, such as the basis for developing economic models in order to formulate policy formulation, the level of velocity of money, financial sector deepening, taxation, export studies and imports and so on. According to macroeconomic theory, GRDP calculation can be done through three approaches, namely: production / supply approach (GDP according to industry / industry), approach to expenditure / final demand (GDP according to expenditure) and income approach (GDP by income / income) . These three calculation approaches will theoretically produce the same GDP figures. This publication specifically discusses GRDP according to the final expenditure / demand approach. This approach is broken down into several components, namely: Household Consumption Expenditures, Non-Profit Institution Serving Household Consumption Expenditures, Government Consumption Expenditures, Investment (Gross Fixed Capital Formation and Changes in Inventories), Foreign Exports, Foreign Imports, and Net Exports Between Regions (exports between regions reduced by imports between regions). GRDP data in this publication and subsequent publications use the 2010 base year, and have adopted the 2008 System of National Accounts concept as recommended by the United Nations.
